2. Debra Barnes Breitenbach (Vice Chair)
Education, Social Worker, Workshops, Naturalist, Master Gardener,
Steward for Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. Served on the boards of
The Altamont Free Library, Kiwanis Club of the Helderbergs, and The
Altamont Food-Coop.
3. Peggy Becker Current Board Chair for
Capital Repertory Theater. Current or past member of other NFP
boards. (secretary, treasurer), Finance/ fundraising / fiduciary
role, Governance, Bilaws (recently helped redraft for a NFP), NYS
NFP law. Formerly worked as a Deputy Comptroller, and Deputy CIO,
and Deputy Commissioner for Food Safety and Animal Health.
4. Amy E. Jessup (Secretary & Treasurer)
Analyst at MVP Health Care. Skilled organizer. Produces musicals for
Galway Players. Board member at Galway and SLOC. Skilled with
Photoshop and advertising. Assistant Producer for Breitenbach's
musical Hieronymus and event coordinator for film preview's
reception.
5. Emily Juda Artist, K-12 art educator,
grant writer (with a 100% success rate), field trips and tours
planner, museum education experience, former board of director
member for the Junior League of Albany.
6. Ira Martin Extensive experience working
at art museums such as the Tang Museum in many capacities, including
management, installations, framing, crating, managing live art/music
events, and traveling exhibits. Also, facility maintenance,
construction, repair, and grounds keeping. He has chaired committees
for the Boy Scouts. He is a skilled artist and makeup artist and was
the Creature Director/designer for Breitenbach's musical
"Hieronymus, A Musical Fantasy" on PBS.
7. Laila Wakeel Artist, former president of
Helderberg Kiwanis. Festival organizer.
Confirmed Committee Members:
Sculpture Park Committee
1. Mary Pat Wager Experienced and renowned sculptor who has
exhibited nationally and internationally. Winner of a National
Endowment for the Arts grant. Former art educator at Averill Park
High School.
2. Ira L. Martin (see above) He is also
interested in creating some sculpture works for our park.
3. Thom Breitenbach (see above) T.E. will be
making some sculptures too, to give to the non-profit.
Architectural Committee
Once 501 (c)(3) tax status is obtained, we will seek building funds
for a museum building down the driveway.
1. Patrick J. Quinn, FAIA, FAAR, FRSA Architect, RPI Dean of
Architecture, educator, actor, athlete, editor, facilities master
planning and site planning. Elected a Fellow of the American
Institute of Architects, the Royal Society for Arts, the American
Academy in Rome, and the Society for Arts, Religion and Contemporary
Culture.
2. Travis Kline Trained architect. Regional Director of Operations
for the Middle East at WhiteWater West. Lives in Dubai and heads up
a team of designers specializing in resort and waterpark design. He
is also a master stone mason. He and Thom built the large stone arch
at Castle Breitenbach.
3. Alan Cerny Architect. Worked 25 years at a firm specializing in
restoring historic buildings, and has built a fairytale estate of
his own. He does not wish to be on a formal committee, but has
already given advice on the museum building.
