Our Mission Statement:
CASTLE BREITENBACH is dedicated to preserving and presenting the
artistic legacy of T. E.
Breitenbach. It is certain to entertain, inspire, and educate all
who visit. Study his famous and humorous "Proverbidioms" paintings
and other exhibits, tour his hand-built castle and studio, and
explore the beautiful grounds with its sculpture trail, artistic stone walls,
gardens, woodland trails, and 40' waterfall. Have a family picnic!
We also host an array of events, including school and group tours by
appointment, workshops
on many topics, and, in the future, rotating art shows, live music, new theatrical and
film presentations, artist's residencies, and more. To start things
off, we have opened a sculpture trail featuring the work of many
renowned artists.
EVENTS
OUR SCULPTURE FOREST IS NOW OPEN, Sunday afternoons,
June through August, from Noon until 4 pm, or by appointment. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated. More
sculptures are promised, so you can always visit more than once. And
we are still collecting, so if you know a sculptor or have some outdoor
sculptures you might like to part with or loan, please connect with
us!
WORKSHOPS:
(Check in frequently, come Spring
& Summer, for this year's listings)
We are pleased to offer workshops in many fields.
The artist hosts stonewall building
and blacksmithing classes. (Send him an email to
tebreitenbach@msn.com to
get on the list.) Classes are free, but a $20 donation is appreciated.
We also host a healing, music event, and workshops by other
presenters. The artist will host an open studio day each year AND give free
castle tours by appointment, for small groups, such as seniors, students,
etc. We also offer the site for filming of music videos, movie
scenes, and personal photos. |
