 I
invented an intuitive artistic language I refer to as Blue Faces.
Large numbers of densely populated faces cover the canvas and
interact with each other in a unique way. The features of one face
often morphs into a different feature of a different face.
This approach expanded from canvas to the painting of a wide
variety of objects where these faces can now interact with the
object as well as each other.
One day my parents offered to sell their used Lexus to me at
a very low price, so I bought it. My brother teased me about the
irony of me driving around in a status car. I didn’t think that
bothered me but the next thing I knew I was painting the entire car
with blue faces. Since then all of my cars have become art cars. My
art style has expanded from shades of blue to full color and when a
car is retired, I remove the doors and display them as art.
In 2022, I opened the Human Connection Arts Center in Earlton, NY,
where painted objects are on full display in my art park, and
painted canvases and body art prints are on view in the indoor
gallery. Through my non-profit Human Connection Arts, we produce art
retreats, artist residencies, and art and music festivals.
